VL Prestige Loro Parque African Parrot mix is a feed blend prepared specifically for African parrot species – African greys, Jardine's and Senegal parrots. The recipe was developed in cooperation with the scientific team at Loro Parque Zoo in Tenerife, so the composition is backed by years of observing what these parrots actually need.
The base is a varied mix of seeds complemented by V.A.M. pellets, which supply vitamins, amino acids and minerals often missing from ordinary grains. The main ingredients include:
- sunflower and safflower seeds, oats, wheat, corn and buckwheat
- shelled peanuts, pine nuts and pumpkin seeds
- carob pods, rosehips and red peppers as a natural source of fibre and pigments
Serve the feed freely in a bowl and regularly refill with a fresh portion. Always ensure access to clean drinking water. Caution – do not combine the mix with oral administration of macrolide antibiotics. Available in 1 kg, 2.5 kg and 15 kg packs depending on the number of parrots in your home.
