Deli Nature 68 Parakeet Agapornis is a seed mix put together for medium parrots and lovebirds that need a varied diet without too much fat. The trick? No sunflower seeds. Instead, Deli Nature went for canary seed and lighter grains, so it also suits cockatoos prone to weight gain – such as the Galah or the Major Mitchell's cockatoo.

What you'll find in the bag:

• Plata, white, red and Japanese millet – the foundation of a varied bird bowl
• canary seed for lighter, easily digestible fat
• oats, buckwheat and paddy rice for energy and fibre
• flax and hemp as a source of omega fatty acids for shiny plumage
